ON THE ROAD

Birmingham-Michigan: Hunter House Hamburgers was born in 1952 featuring sliders, little hamburgers with juicy, sweet onions smashed into the meat and the buns steamed hot. This icon of Americana is going to be demolished and replaced with a high rise building. At the same time I had the good fortune of being there when a 1950's station wagon arrived and parked in just the right spot. Love this little piece of history, and I'm a vegetarian.

Big Beaver- Michigan: Michigan is all about cars. I was walking around and noticed this location under an overpass where car after car keep coming. I found the ceiling to be a wonderful backdrop to photograph all the motion.
There were 282 million vehicles operating on roads throughout the United States (in the 3rd quarter of 2020 - published by I. Wagner Feb. 2 2021).
