LOCK DOWN PARK PORTRAITS
In 2020, the Corona pandemic changed life as we know it. Daily routines needed to be re-organized. Living in NYC, life revolves around the office, the apartment, and the “out and about.” With all the new restrictions for socializing outside, local parks have become one of the most popular locations to workout, read, relax, and meet friends. Marcus Garvey Park-Harlem (120th St. to 124th St. - Madison Avenue to Mount Morris Park) has become an oasis for so many people needing green trees and fresh air which is one of the perks the quarantine (less car pollution resulting in cleaner air). Lock Down Park Portraits is a photographic series of the neighbors I have met in park. From homeless people to families, the park is a container of community life.
